Frequently Asked Questions
For many of our students this will be the first time they have travelled abroad by themselves. We understand this can be daunting and exciting at the same time, here are some questions and answers that you may have and please do get in touch if you need any further details or just would like to speak to us before booking.
What time should I arrive and depart Geneva airport?
We offer two pick up and drop off times. On arrival day we collect at 1pm and 5pm and on departure day we will drop off at 11am and 2pm. These timings may change slightly once everyone has submitted their flight times.
Should your flights options not fit with these timings you can book a private transfer at a rate of 180euros.
Who will I be sharing a room with?
We divide the group into male/female with two students to a room. There is an option for 2 single rooms per course if you prefer.
Can you cater for dietary restrictions?
We can cater for most requirements please enquire directly.
Can I come with a friend?
Yes! You can come with a friend although most students come by themselves. The requirements for the DofE Gold residential is that you mustn’t know more than 1 other person on the course.
Do I need spending money?
Everything is included in our price apart from your flights. When you’re with us you can partake in some local activities and this will be at your own cost.
The cost of white water rafting or mountain bike hire is approx 50e per person.
There are some shops in our village for souvenirs, sweet treats etc and you might need some spending money if you’ve a wait at the airport.
Do I need travel insurance ?
Yes you do need to arrange your own insurance at your own cost.
Where do we meet you at the airport?
Once we collate all the flight details we will email you a week before you arrive with your meeting time and detailed instructions on where to meet us. Geneva is a very safe small airport but if you wish we can share your details with other participants in your course so you can wait together.
Who will be on the course?
This course is for students aged between 16 to 19. Nearly all of our students are taking the course for the DofE residential. We have a child protection policy in place, and all our tutors are DBS checked.

Will there be an opportunity to practice French?
Although the courses are delivered in English, we are in a small French Village, and there are lots of oppotunities to practice your French. If you would like, we can arrange a session to meet the locals to really boost your language skills.
