ABOUT THE RESIDENTIAL COURSE
Our DofE Gold residential cookery course is suitable for young people aged 16 to 19 years old and takes place at our lovely ski chalet in the French Alps. We will collect you from our nearest airport which is Geneva, just an hour from the chalet. This course is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy some time in the French Alps and learn how to cook delicious dishes. We also cover the role of chalet hosting, giving you a true insight with our years of experience should you wish to work a ski season. We follow a 6 day menu plan where you'll learn techniques and skills that will be sure to impress your family on your return! We guarantee that you will enjoy all the delicious dishes you create, and possibly find new foods and flavours that will add to your experience. This course is ideal if you are preparing yourself for uni life, considering working a ski season, or applying for part time hospitality work. The new cookery and life skills you will learn will take you through university and beyond! We also ensure you have some downtime to enjoy the mountains and all the activities on offer in our cute and authentically French village. Our course ethos is one of team work and empathy, and whether you choose to come by yourself or with a friend the whole group bonds very quickly as we all become a team and have a fun time together.
Sally and Oli have been the course tutors since 2014 and bring years of experience, enthusiasm and positivity to the Season It Cookery experience.
When they aren't teaching they manage and run the Ski Chalet and are truly loved by all our guests.
