An Alpine Escape: Cookery, Adventure, and Mountain View’s

As autumn settles over the Alps, the mountains glow gold, the air feels crisp and fresh, and the first snow often sparkles on the peaks above. It’s the perfect time to escape to the mountains for a week of adventure, friendship, and fantastic food.

From 25th–31st October, we’re welcoming a new group of students to Chalet Pomet in Morillon for our Season It Cookery DofE Residential, a week designed to build your confidence in the kitchen, make new friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Cookery with a Seasonal Twist

You’ll spend the week cooking alongside our talented chefs, Johanna and Michael, learning delicious, achievable recipes that will impress family and friends. You might even go home ready to help cook Christmas lunch or take charge of it! From warming soups and hearty alpine dishes to festive bakes, every day brings something new.

Alpine Adventures & Relaxation

When you’re not in the kitchen, you’ll have the chance to explore the stunning mountain scenery that surrounds Chalet Pomet. The Tree Top Adventure Park is open for those who fancy a little thrill, and the lakeside sauna offers the perfect way to unwind afterwards. Add in peaceful alpine walks, crisp sunshine, and evenings spent in the hot tub overlooking the snow-dusted mountains, and you have the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

Your Home for the Week

Chalet Pomet is a beautifully renovated 17th-century farmhouse that combines rustic charm with modern luxury. Each of the en-suite bedrooms provides a cosy retreat after a day of cooking and exploring, and the chalet’s warm, welcoming atmosphere makes it the ideal place to spend a week in the Alps.
